Direct flights between Krasnoyarsk and Lensk are opened

Route network of the airport "Yemelyanovo" has been expanded with a new regional destination. The “KrasAvia” airline has started the direct flights on the route Krasnoyarsk-Lensk-Krasnoyarsk. Regular flights in this direction will be carried out from the airport "Yemelyanovo" with a frequency of three times a week – on the second, fourth and sixth days. Departures from Krasnoyarsk are on Tuesdays – at 09.15 and on Thursdays and Saturdays at 08.20 (local time). The flights are scheduled on aircrafts An-24 and An-26, the journey time is 3 hours and 45 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at any ticket office of the city, as well as on the carrier's website http://www.ak-krasavia.ru/.
Lensk is one of the oldest cities in the Republic of Yakutia (Sakha). It is located on the banks of the Lena River and has a favorable climate, so Lensk is a very attractive place for fishers. The city has a large river port, oil and gas industry are very developed here as well as trucking industry. The kimberlite pipe "Mir" - the indigenous diamond field is located in two hundred kilometers from the city of Lensk.
It should be noted that flights from Krasnoyarsk to Lensk and back will be carried out under the Federal program of subsidizing regional air travel in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation № 1242. The aim of this program is the formation of a stable route network in the regions and development of regional transportation. The subsidized flights to regional destinations like Mirniy, Polarniy and Kyzyl are carried out today from the airport "Yemelyanovo" in addition to Lensk.
